Human Appeal attends the Green Event hosted by MP

Human Appeal attended the Green Islam Event hosted by Afzal Khan MP at the British Muslim Heritage Centre. The event included a discussion a key note speech on the importance of individual focus on sustainability followed by a tree planting in the grounds of the British Muslim Heritage Centre and a short presentation on the local community efforts in Manchester to link sustainability and affordability efforts together. Discussions included the effects of private consumption as well as the worrying cost of greenhouse gas emissions and their effect on the environment, water pollution and climate change's contribution to disasters like the flooding in Pakistan.

Global PR and Advocacy Executive Hannah Bardsley represented Human Appeal at the event and spoke to Afzal Khan about the work Human Appeal is doing in Gaza to build water desalination plants, and plant olive tree groves. As well as the emergency relief we provided following the Pakistan floods.
