Each winter, thousands of members of the public across the UK come together to do something incredible: collecting, sorting and donating warm coats to those who need them most.
Started 11 years ago, it's grown into the UK's largest warm clothing campaign, and one of the biggest annual volunteering events in the country.
Run in partnership with Hands On London, Wrap Up collects and distributes coats and winter clothing to charities supporting people experiencing homelessness, refugees, children in poverty, and survivors of domestic abuse — across Manchester, Birmingham & the Black Country, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leicester, Luton, London, Bristol, Leeds and Bradford.
12,000 coats. That's the goal.
As part of our 10-year anniversary campaign, we set ourselves an ambitious target of collecting 10,000 coats — which, we achieved, alongside over 40,000 winter clothing items in total. We also saw a 63% increase in donations compared with the previous year.
None of that would have been possible without the input and support of everyone involved across our different departments and teams — a huge thank you to you all.
Now, in our 11th year, we're setting our sights even higher: 12,000 coats collected in 2026.
01 — Promotion: Volunteers spread the word
02 — Collection: Donations pour in across drop-off points in 10 cities
03 — Sorting: Volunteers check every coat
04 — Distribution: Coats are counted and delivered
