Reema's story

Reema has Epidermolysis Bullosa — known as Butterfly Disease — a rare and devastating condition that causes her skin to blister and tear at the slightest touch. She has painful open wounds across her back and limbs, and her condition is now affecting her sight, heart and kidneys.

She is severely malnourished, and living in a tent on a rooftop, exposed to Gaza's extreme heat, is making her condition worse.

Without intervention, her health will continue to deteriorate. Be a mercy to a child struggling through deep pain — together, let's get Reema the help she needs.

The crisis Reema is living through

• Epidermolysis Bullosa causes constant, painful wounds that need specialist daily nursing care her family cannot afford.

• Without treatment, her condition will worsen and lead to further complications.

• Her family has no income, no shelter from the heat, and no way to access the care she desperately needs.

What your donation provides

A safe place for Reema to receive urgent care, daily wound dressing, and nursing support at Al Awda Hospital.

Nourishing meals, nutritional supplements, essential medicines and hygiene supplies to protect her from infection.

Medical check-ups and tests to stabilize her condition and prepare her for the nest stage of treatment she may need

Reema can't wait

Her father lives with heart disease. Her brother — once the family's only breadwinner — was injured in the war and can no longer work.

There is no income. No safety net. No way to afford the wound care, medication or nutrition Reema needs to survive.

We're working with Al-Awda Hospital to give Reema urgent care — an emergency intervention to ease her suffering, rebuild her strength, and protect her from infection.

These first steps could mean the difference between more suffering and a fighting chance — for a little girl who has already endured more pain, hunger and fear than any child should.

Your Sadaqah can reach her when she needs it most.

Together, let's protect, shelter, nourish and treat Reema.

Every day without care puts her at greater risk.
