A violent cloudburst has unleashed catastrophic flash floods across Pakistan, sweeping away homes and villages. Hundreds have lost their lives. Thousands are injured or missing. An estimated 50% of the houses have been completely destroyed, and the rest are no longer habitable. Families are now forced to shelter in schools, make shift camps, or under the open sky - without food, clean water, or medical care.
Human Appeal teams are on the ground right now, delivering urgent relief — but we cannot reach everyone without your support.
How your donation can help
£40.50 provides a family with cooked hot meals for a week
£100 can help provide an emergency survival kit for a displaced family
£150 can help fund a mobile medical camp in a flood-affected village
A crisis that grows by the hour
Since late June 2025, at least 498 people have died and more than 700 have been injured. On 15 August alone, 185 lives were lost in just one day. And with more heavy rainfall forecast, thousands more remain at risk. Pakistan is still reeling from the record-breaking floods of 2022, which destroyed homes, schools, hospitals, and livelihoods for 33 million people. Families who had just begun to rebuild are now facing devastation all over again.
Human Appeal is on the ground
With decades of experience, we have been responding to floods in Pakistan since 1991. Last year alone, we supported 1.3 million people in Pakistan through emergency and development projects.
Today, our teams are working with local authorities to provide:
Your generosity has already helped rebuild flood-resistant homes, restore livelihoods, and bring clean water to thousands. Together, we can do it again.
The devastation at a glance
This is not an isolated disaster. Pakistan is one of the most climate-vulnerable countries in the world, and families here are paying the price.
