Leave no one behind
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers together. (Bukhari)
£70 Winter Family Emergency Kit will provide a family with nourishing food and warm winter quilts to protect them from the bitter weather.
In Pakistan, 50% of people live below the poverty line. That figure grew over the last year, with 2 million more people living below this line. This winter, families in the northern and mountainous regions of Pakistan, face the impossible decision of choosing to buy food or to stay warm.
Those living in hard to reach areas are most at risk this winter
Pakistan is one of the most vulnerable in the world when it comes to climate change. Winters are incredibly harsh, especially in the mountainous regions, which face snow, bitter winds, and sub-zero temperatures.
Recent forecasts suggest this winter will see extreme rainfall and snow, especially in the areas where we’re supporting families – Drikot, in Bagh district, Murree, in Rawalpindi district, and Shunkiarai, in Mansehra district.
Without your support this winter, families will be forced to choose between buying food or staying warm. Donate, and let’s leave no-one behind this winter.
Share your warmth
When you donate £70, each family will receive a nutritious food parcel weighing over 30 kilograms, and contains flour, rice, sugar, oil, tea, chickpeas, lentils, and salt. They’ll also receive two thick winter quilts to help them stay warm.
Last winter, we supported 567 families, providing warm clothes to a total of 1,213 children and 529 women.
This year, help us to support even more vulnerable people. We’ll focus on families that have lost their breadwinner – including orphans and widows. For the first distribution, we want to help a total of 2,600 people across 600 families.
But we can’t do this without your support. Please donate £70 and help us to leave no-one behind this winter.
