Winter in Palestine
The devastating war in Gaza has decimated a community that has persevered, rebuilt and survived for decades. Over 64,000 people have been killed, including 20,000 children. Entire cities have been flattened, schools, shelters, hospitals and farmland have been bombed, leaving almost the entire population of Gaza displaced and dependent on aid.
Even with a fragile ceasefire in place, bombs have continued to kill Gazans, and it’s almost impossible to earn a living; 94% of all farmland and fishing facilities have been destroyed.
Hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza will face winter with nothing but tents or sheeting to protect them from the rain, bitter cold, and inevitable flooding and sickness that comes with destroyed drainage systems and overcrowded camps.
1.9 million people in Gaza have been displaced, most have little to return to, with vast miles of Gaza decimated. As winter hits, people are still facing traumatic violence, dealing with the loss of loved ones, hunger, now with the added struggle of protecting their families against sickness, the cold, floodings, and leaking shelters.
With the complete destruction of healthcare, it’s critical that we protect as many Palestinians as possible from winter sicknesses.
The urgency of the situation in Gaza cannot be overstated, and people here need immediate help to survive the winter.

They’ll receive clothing vouchers which allows them to select the clothes to suit their family’s needs from locally-supplied clothing points.
