Ramadan food parcels for families in Somalia

4.4 million Somalis are facing crisis levels of hunger this Ramadan. Years of brutal conflict, extreme weather – such as prolonged drought and flooding – and limited livelihood opportunities have pushed the most marginalised families to the brink of what they can endure.

In Kahda and Daynile districts, thousands of newly displaced families are facing extreme hardship and hunger.

What will each donation provide?

Each parcel will contain staple local foods, ingredients for Ramadan, and nutritionally-rich items. In Somalia, your donation will provide a family with around 66 kilograms of flour, rice, sugar, oil, and dates.

When you donate, we’ll provide nutritious month-long food parcels to 800 families, helping a total of 4,800 people in Somalia.
