Despite promises of eased borders, 800,000 children in Gaza face acute hunger, and families are struggling to secure even one meal a day. More than 450 people have died from starvation, as famine and malnutrition surged late last year.
Many are struggling to hold on long enough to reach Ramadan. Human Appeal teams are on the ground, preparing to deliver 1,000,000 fresh food parcels during Ramadan. These parcels provide essential nutrition — including rice, protein, vegetables, and high-calorie staples — restoring strength to children and dignity to families who have lost everything.
The Prophet ﷺ taught us: “The most beloved people to Allah are those who bring the greatest benefit to others.”
Right now, the greatest benefit we can offer is food. Across Gaza, families are moving through each day with empty stomachs and weakening bodies. Aid may be arriving, but it is not enough to feed hundreds of thousands who have been starving for more than a year. This is not ordinary hardship — this is a struggle for survival.
