The Messenger (PBUH) said, “Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all." (Ibn Khuzaymah)
£70 will provide a family-of-six with a nutritious food parcel to last the whole month of Ramadan, wherever it’s most needed, providing 180 meals.
£6 will give an entire family-of-five in Gaza a hot nutritious iftar meal.
£5 will provide a vulnerable person in Pakistan with a nutritious hot iftar meal.
Each Ramadan, as Allah tests our patience and obedience, he also gives us the blessed opportunity to seek His mercy through merciful acts of our own.
Every good deed in the holy month is multiplied and rewarded many times over. This Ramadan, let’s spread mercy to vulnerable families by providing nutritious iftars to people living through drought, hunger, and conflict.
The last year has been brought us many renewed struggles, but Allah, in His wisdom, has granted us this yearly month of mercy, an opportunity to show compassion to others while seeking Allah’s compassion.
Each night of Ramadan, 10% of the world will go to bed hungry – a staggering 811 million people. That’s 161 million more people than last year.
Since last Ramadan, hunger has been driven up by conflict, displacement, drought, and COVID-19.
Spread mercy, share an iftar with a vulnerable family this Ramadan.
Spreading mercy, one iftar at a time
Your charity can be the difference between a family facing another day of fasting without an iftar to break it, or that family having plentiful meals throughout the holy month, fully able to observe the blessings of Ramadan.
Last Ramadan, your charity allowed us to provide 178,627 people with iftar across 10 countries – that’s 43,725 more people than the previous Ramadan.
You provided 21,535 nutritious food parcels to last the entire month, 18,520 hot meals, and 21,558 people received food vouchers.
This year, even more people are going hungry; please donate, and be a mercy to a family struggling to afford food.
Quality, safety, and COVID-19 precautions
With over 30 years of experience sourcing and distributing iftars in local communities, in which time we’ve developed streamlined programmes that put the needs of the communities we help first. We help your donation to go further by getting the best prices and quality of food, which means that more of your donation goes directly to those who need it most.
We tailor every food parcel to the needs in the local community, and they’re packed with an average of 45 kilograms of nutritious food. Each parcel contains several kilograms of staples, such as sugar, rice, and flour, as well as local preferences, such as chickpeas, lentils, tea, milk powder or pasta.
We’re also serious about the safety of the people we help. During distributions, all staff will wear face masks and observe social distancing, and we are adhering to all local COVID-19 measures.
Let’s make this month count. Let’s change Ramadan for the most vulnerable, who’ve endured unimaginable hardship. Put your donation in capable, experienced hands, and help us to feed the fasting and to ease hardship.
Be a mercy, and seek Allah’s mercy.
