The Messenger (PBUH) said, “Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all." (Ibn Khuzaymah)
This Ramadan is a chance for true, meaningful change. As Allah SWT tests our patience and obedience, he also gives us the blessed opportunity to transform our worship, charity, and remembrance.
Every good deed in the holy month is multiplied and rewarded many times over. This Ramadan, let’s be the change the world needs.
£70 will provide a family-of-six with a nutritious food parcel to last the whole month of Ramadan.
£15 will provide a week-long food parcel to a food-insecure Muslim family in Manchester, UK.
£8 will provide a hot iftar to a fasting person at Masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem.
£6 will provide a vulnerable person in Pakistan or Gaza with a nutritious hot iftar meal.
Change starts here, with you.
The last year has been one of great struggle for many of us, but for so many, this Ramadan will be unbearably difficult.
Around the world, families have struggled with war, displacement, and affording food. This Ramadan, when the dusk adhan calls out around the world, one in nine people will not have enough food to break their fast. To a hungry family struggling to find food for iftar, your donation will transform their Ramadan.
Changing the world, one iftar at a time
Your charity can be the difference between a family facing another day of fasting without an iftar to break it, or that family having plentiful meals throughout the holy month, fully able to observe the blessings of Ramadan.
Your support has been helping Human Appeal to feed the fasting in local communities for 30 years. Last year, you helped 201,309 people during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, across seven countries. You provided 23,793 families with nutritious food parcels lasting the entire month – that’s over 142,000 people – and provided an incredible 9,760 hot meals.
Quality, safety, and COVID-19 precautions
We only distribute iftar in countries where we have a vast network and years of experience – this helps your donation to go further by getting the best prices and quality of food, meaning more of your donation goes directly to those who need it most.
We tailor every food parcel to the needs in the local community, and they’re packed with an average of 62 kilograms of nutritious food. Each parcel contains several kilograms of staples, such as sugar, rice, and flour, as well as local preferences, such as chickpeas, lentils, tea, milk powder or pasta.
We’re also serious about the safety of the people we help. During distributions, all staff will wear face masks and observe social distancing, and we are adhering to all local COVID-19 measures.
Let’s make this month count. Let’s change Ramadan for the most vulnerable, who’ve endured unimaginable hardship. Put your donation in capable, experienced hands, and help us to feed the fasting and to ease hardship.
Change starts here. Let’s do this, together.
