This Ramadan, provide a sustainable source of income to a vulnerable Pakistani. A pair of goats provides a family with protein-rich milk and the opportunity to sell excess milk to generate an income for the family.
£295 – Provide a vulnerable person with a pair of milking goats.
A fifth of Pakistanis are undernourished, and almost half of all children are stunted and 37% don’t know where their next meal will come from.
When a mother in the communities we’re working in is widowed, not only does she have to deal with the pain of loss, she is also suddenly and unexpectedly forced to find a way to support her children, while helping them to cope with the loss of their father. Women and girls experience poverty more acutely than boys and men, have lower literacy rates, and face more social barriers when they enter the workforce.
But when you donate to this project, you’ll support some of the most vulnerable families, such as widowed mothers, older people, and those without a means to support themselves.
Your donation this Ramadan can help a widowed mother to have a sustainable source of nutrition and income and nutrition. We’ll also provide each farmer with livestock management training so that they are able to effectively manage their goats, and help to grow their herd.
