Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) said: “Whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden from the burdens of the world, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the burdens on the Day of Judgement.”

£100 help provide food, water and hygiene kits for a displaced family in Afghanistan.

Heavy seasonal rains in Afghanistan have killed over 300 people, destroyed more than 1,000 homes and damaged over 2,800, leaving many without shelter in the provinces of Baghlan, Takhar and Badakhshan.

A state of emergency has been declared, with transport links and water supplies severely disrupted. Military helicopters are currently assisting rescue efforts and evacuating casualties.

6 million Afghans on brink of starvation

The devastating floods have shattered Afghanistan less than a year after a series of deadly earthquakes that left 40,000 people in need of humanitarian assistance. Conflict, climate-related drought, and economic collapse had already left 93% of families without a reliable way to feed themselves, with 1 in 3 people hungry, and 2 million children malnourished.

Right now, 6 million Afghans are on the brink of starvation and the healthcare system has all but collapsed. The recent flooding has brought new devastation to our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan who were already struggling simply for food.
