Educating the future

For more than two years, Gaza’s children have missed out on classes, playgrounds, and school friendships. 745,000 children are out of school, and a staggering 95% of all schools and universities have been damaged or destroyed.

What are we providing?

• 32 mobile schools open 6 days a week

• 2,400 children receiving classes

• Arabic, English, Science, and Maths lessons

• Tables, chairs, whiteboards and learning supplies

Provide a gift that cannot be replicated – the education that will last a child their entire future. This project will help children who have lost almost two years of education to be able to resume their studies. As a fragile ceasefire holds, we’re committed to expanding our mobile schools to get even more children back in education.

Our mobile tents are anchored to the ground, stable and weather proof and positioned in the areas with the highest concentration of displaced people.

Not only are you helping children learn to Maths, Science, English and Arabic, but you’re also providing a psychologist for counselling sessions and psychosocial activities to support their emotional recovery, improve their communication, and provide a safe space for them to express their feelings.

A decimated education system

20,000 children of school age were killed across the two years of bombing, in addition to 830 teachers. 95% of schools have been damaged or destroyed. Help us there for those who survive, giving them a place to learn and make friends – a small solace amid the very real hardship they live.

As a result of bombings and other forms of destruction, the education system in Gaza is facing a suffocating crisis, with scarce resources and decimated infrastructure, threatening to decimate Gaza’s usually high literacy and education levels.

The suffering that children in Gaza face today is unfathomable, living with horrific trauma, deep loss, hunger, and deep ongoing suffering. The least we owe the children of our ummah is the support of a good education, to help them to build the skills for a better tomorrow.

Our staff have been working every single day since October 9 2023. In that time, they’ve provided over 24 million items of aid to 1,728,317* people. Throughout the bombing, they continued to provide food, water, shelter, medical supplies, mobile clinics, and warm clothing.

Our work so far

• Over 10 million hot meals

• Over 127,000 food parcels

• Over 102 million litres of clean water

• 120,000 medical consultations

• 2,400 children with schooling

• Over 25,000 orphan children sponsored

We’ve helped more than 120,000 through healthcare, and more than 102 million litres of clean water has been provided. Our supporters help us to care for 25,276 orphans, though we have over 6,000 orphans registered and looking for sponsors.
