13 years of a forgotten war

“Whoever saves the life of one, it is as if he saved the whole of mankind” (Quran 5:32)

This Ramadan, families that endured 14 years of conflict, displacement, earthquakes, and hunger, have a glimmer of hope for a better future as almost 300,000 refugees and more than 800,000 displaced people return home. But with more than 7.4 million people still displaced, what awaits is deep uncertainty and urgent humanitarian need.

90 percent of people in Syria rely on humanitarian help. As healthcare facilities struggle to recover from attacks, bombings across the country put renewed strain on infrastructure.

This Ramadan, we’re supporting families in emergency with nutritious food parcels, hygiene kits, winter kits to protect them from ongoing cold weather, as well as healthcare. While helping families to overcome immediate dangers, our team of experts also create and continually assess projects that help to improve futures for good.

In Syria, our projects with long term impact include Al Imaan Hospital, which provides free healthcare to mothers, babies and the sick, our homes for the future project, building long-lasting fully equipped flats for displaced families, as well as olive tree farming, a livelihood providing income year after year.

These Sadaqah Jariyah projects impact families now, and benefit them year after year, while providing you with ongoing blessings too. Reap the blessings of providing sustainable, long-term support in the month of mercy and blessings.

Help us to be there for families in Syria as they begin to return and rebuild.

Help Syrian families

We’re supporting families recently displaced in Bardaqli, providing with winter blankets and tents for families forced to leave everything behind. Our food parcels and bread deliveries provide reliable access to food to families facing hardship, and Al Imaan Hospital is one of the few remaining healthcare facilities in the area.

We’re also providing hygiene kits to help families to avoid the spread of disease and winter sickness, and winter kits and heating to help them stay warm and dry through the bitterly cold winter.

Through escalations and the quiet continued hardship, our local team has continued to work tirelessly providing the most vulnerable families with food, healthcare, homes, and livelihoods. They urgently need your help to meet the soaring health, hunger and shelter needs for so many families.

This Ramadan, when you donate to Human Appeal, you can support families enduring life-threatening hardship now, while also taking care of their futures, ensuring multiplied blessings for supporting the now, and supporting their futures through Sadaqah Jariyah that provide reward year after year, even after you are gone.

Together, we can help Syria’s most vulnerable by supporting access to healthcare, homes, and livelihoods.

Human Appeal in Syria

Human Appeal’s projects in Syria are helping families through the current crisis with emergency aid, as well as supporting the long-term development of healthcare, shelter, and livelihoods.

Our nutritious month-long food parcels and daily bread helps displaced families to have nutritious food during this escalation. Al Imaan Hospital is providing life-saving healthcare in northern Syria, where health facilities have been targeted and shut down.

Our homes project has provided 10,000 Syrians from 2,000 families with a safe, long-term home connected to the water and sewage system.

Throughout the past 14 years, our local team in Syria has continued to provide the most vulnerable families with food, healthcare, homes, and livelihoods, but they need your help to continue protecting the most vulnerable people as large numbers return amid massive need for help.

33 years of experience and care

Last year, you helped us to support over 6.2 million people globally, including over 700,000 people in Syria. In northern Syria, our Al Imaan hospital treats over 50,000 people each year, helping thousands of mothers each month, and supporting children with malnutrition and sickness.

Our projects are run by local staff, our hospital is manned by local doctors and nurses, all working together to improve the lives of the most vulnerable, and the future of their country. When you entrust your charity to us, it’s supported by over 30 years’ experience, and specialists in protection, child safety, and emergency response.

This Ramadan, recommit your mercy to help the people of Syria through our projects that help families in the now, and for years to come.
