The creator and star of the BBC hit Man Like Mobeen, Guz is one of the sharpest, most unmistakable voices in British comedy; quick-witted, unapologetic, and impossible to look away from. You'll have seen him going toe-to-toe on Taskmaster, holding his own on QI, stealing scenes in Four Weddings and a Funeral, and sailing the high seas in HBO's Our Flag Means Death. On stage, he brings that same fearless energy live, and he's proud to bring it to the Muslim Comedy Takeover this winter, in support of Gaza and the Orphan Appeal. Tez Ilyas is one of the most celebrated stars in British comedy. His debut hour TEZ Talks delivered a sell-out run at the Soho Theatre and his own Radio 4 series. His follow-up Made in Britain sold out every Edinburgh Fringe performance before a packed national tour. His special Teztify was recorded live at the Southbank Centre.

After a first-class engineering degree, he swapped the boardroom for the camera, launching his YouTube channel SMASHBengali in 2017 and building "The Gushti", his online family of fans drawn to his warm, unmistakably British-Bangladeshi comedy. He became a household name overnight on Channel 4's The Circle, stealing the show and the nation's heart as his own 63-year-old uncle, Syed Islam.
