“Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.” (Al-Tirmidhi)
£60 – provide iftar to a fasting family-of-five in Syria for a month.
Syrians are being forgotten, despite the situation turning more extreme – 6.7 million people are displaced and, since last year, 4.5 million more Syrians are going hungry.
In all, a staggering 12.4 million people don’t have a reliable way to feed themselves – that’s 60% of all Syrians.
Charity brings mercy upon those who receive as well as those who give. Be a mercy to a Syrian family struggling to afford food, and reap the blessings of Ramadan.
Give £60 today, and we’ll make sure it gets to a vulnerable family this Ramadan, leaving you free to worship, fast, and remember Allah, safe in the knowledge that your charity is sorted and in expert hands. Multiply your blessings this Ramadan.
What will each donation provide?
Each parcel will contain staple local foods, ingredients for Ramadan, and nutritionally-rich items. In Syria, your donation will provide a family-of-six with around 40 kilograms of nutritious food such as rice, bulgur, dates, lentils, chickpeas, beans, sugar, jam, and oil.
When you donate, we’ll provide nutritious month-long food parcels to 1,620 of the most vulnerable families, helping a total of 8,100 people. Our focus will be on displaced families living in camps in Idlib, with 30% of the food parcels also supporting vulnerable people from the region.
Helping a total of 3,000 people, we’ll be focusing on families affected by conflict that have orphans, are led by women, or have escaped gender-based violence. We’ll also support families that contain people with disabilities, widows, and chronically ill people.
Why give with Human Appeal?
We’ve been feeding fasting families for over 30 years, in which time we’ve developed streamlined programmes that put the needs of the communities we help first. Last Ramadan, your charity allowed us to provide 178,627 people with iftar across 10 countries, including 13,117 in Syria.
This year, spread mercy to a vulnerable Syria family who has fled their home and is living in a tent in Idlib. Share an iftar with a displaced family, and reap the mercy of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Give mercy now.
Please note, if sufficient funds are not raised for a particular project, your donation may be reallocated to where the need is greatest.
