Ramadan food parcels for families in Lebanon

After the explosion in Beirut, economic collapse, and the war, more than 800,000 people are facing food crisis, struggling to afford basic food items. Lebanon imports 80% of its wheat – the most important staple food item, but soaring food prices and successive crises have pushed the most vulnerable into deeper hunger.

What will each donation provide?

Each parcel will contain staple local foods, ingredients for Ramadan, and nutritionally-rich items. In Lebanon, your donation will provide a family-of-six with rice, flour, bulgur, spaghetti, lentils, vermicelli, chickpeas, beans, tuna, canned meat, tahini, cheese, tea, corn, mushrooms sugar, salt, oil, and dates.

When you donate, we’ll provide nutritious month-long food parcels to 1,140 families, including 570 families in Tobbaya, and 570 families in Chhim, helping a total of 6,840 people.

Share a hot meal and help us to provide 17,856 hot meals containing rice, chicken, salad, yoghurt, water and cutlery. We’ll distribute hot meals in groups of 6 portions, allowing a whole family to join together for a nutritious iftar.
