“Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.” (Al-Tirmidhi)
£80 – provide iftar to a fasting family-of-six in Iraq for a month.
After decades of conflict and instability in Iraq, 2.4 million people need help to support their food or livelihoods. 1.2 million people are still displaced and the pandemic drastically affected food insecurity.
Charity brings mercy upon those who receive as well as those who give. Be a mercy to an Iraqi family struggling to afford food, and reap the blessings of Ramadan.
Give £80 today, and we’ll make sure it gets to a vulnerable family this Ramadan, leaving you free to worship, fast, and remember Allah, safe in the knowledge that your charity is sorted and in expert hands. Multiply your blessings this Ramadan.
What will each donation provide?
Each parcel will contain staple local foods, ingredients for Ramadan, and nutritionally-rich items. In Iraq, your donation will provide a family-of-six with over 52 kilograms of nutritious food including flour, rice, sugar, lentils, bulgur, salt, oil and dates.
When you donate, we’ll provide nutritious month-long food parcels to 500 of the most vulnerable families in Erbil and Ninewa, where many people have been plunged into more hardship after displacement camps were closed.
Helping a total of 3,000 people, we’ll be focusing on families affected by conflict that have orphans, are led by women, or have escaped gender-based violence. We’ll also support families that contain people with disabilities, widows, and chronically ill people.
Why give with Human Appeal?
We’ve been feeding fasting families for over 30 years, in which time we’ve developed streamlined programmes that put the needs of the communities we help first. Last Ramadan, your charity allowed us to provide 178,627 people with iftar across 10 countries, including 1,905 in Iraq.
This year, spread mercy to a vulnerable family affected by conflict and hunger in Iraq.
Share an iftar with a vulnerable family, and reap the mercy of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Give mercy now.
Please note, if sufficient funds are not raised for a particular project, your donation may be reallocated to where the need is greatest.
