What is Kabsa?
Kabsa is a beloved traditional Palestinian dish made with spiced rice and beef — comforting, nutritious, and familiar to local families.
Each meal contains 300g of meat and rice, is cooked, seasoned, sterilized, and packed airtight. It has a shelf life of 1.5 years, with no need for cooking or refrigeration — ideal for those with no access to kitchens, fuel, or electricity.
Your Qurbani at a glance:
• Beef Qurbani – cooked and seasoned with rice as a kabsa meal
• 300g meat per family – ready – to eat - no need to cook or refrigerate
• 71 Kabsa meals per Qurbani share
• 1.5 year shelf life
• 55,000 people helped in Gaza last year
• 1.3 million people helped last Qurbani globally, providing over 4.78 million meals
• Provide an innovative Qurbani
• Sacrificed during Eid – in full Shariah compliance
• Cooked and packed in East Asia under strict hygiene controls
• Secure delivery to Gaza via Jordan as soon as borders open
• Just £3 per meal
Your sacrifice will be performed outside Gaza and transported via Jordan once borders open. This meets all Islamic Qurbani requirements and allows us to adapt to Gaza’s extreme emergency.
Closed borders are no excuse for delay. As an ummah, we must be ready with food that’s calorie-dense, ready to eat, and easy for children and the elderly to consume. The 1.5-year long shelf life means your Qurbani can be stored safely and distributed immediately once aid can enter Gaza.
Despite the extreme challenges, our team in Gaza works tirelessly to enable you to give Qurbani. But shares are limited – and time is short.
Why give to Human Appeal?
We ensure that the people you support receive value-for-money, quality meat – all sacrificed according to the Prophet’s (ﷺ) tradition. With 33 years of experience, our local teams have decades of expertise and community knowledge, working with local farmers to support businesses in each country we serve.
All animals are inspected ahead of slaughter to ensure they’re healthy and well cared for. Your Qurbani is an Amanah (trust) to us, and we guarantee your sacrifice will be performed on time — between the first and fourth days of Eid al-Adha, as required for Udhiya.
Since we buy our Qurbani animals in advance to have them ready for slaughter on Eid day, we recommend donating early to secure your Qurbani share — especially with only 700 shares available for Gaza.
Last Qurbani, your generosity helped over 1,347,451 people with fresh, nutritious meat, providing more than 4.78 million meals, including over 15,000 people in Gaza.
Since October 2023, you’ve helped us deliver over 9 million items of life-saving aid — equivalent to supporting every person in Gaza more than four times.

Hadith Al-Tirmidhi
