Across the globe, the ummah is in crisis, systematically displaced from their homes by climate disasters, persecution and conflict. Our Sheltering the Ummah appeal allows you to support families across three countries – Pakistan, Syria, and Palestine. This Ramadan provide shelter for the ummah, and reap the blessings of this selfless gesture.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “All praise is due to Allah who has fed us, given us drink, sufficed us, and sheltered us. How many are those who do not have enough and have no shelter?”
Be among those who provide shelter this Ramadan, and multiply your blessings.

Be a mercy and a shelter this Ramadan, and seek Allah’s mercy and shelter in the hereafter.
Palestine
In Gaza, where 90% of homes have been destroyed after 15 months of bombardment, we’re providing hope to families who’ve endured displacement, cold, and hunger. Our innovative shelters consist of a window, a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet, a large kitchen sink, lighting, and a power socket.
The water is distributed to the kitchen area and bathroom from a tank that the family refills, and electricity is generated sustainably from a solar panel, making this a sustainable home that brings comfort to a family whose home has been destroyed.
Pakistan
In Pakistan, we’re providing raised, flood-resistant homes to families whose houses were destroyed in the 2022 floods, which submerged 1/3 of the entire country. The homes are uniquely designed with an elevation of 4-5 feet above the ground, mitigating against future floodwater damage. We have worked with local engineers and architects to produce durable homes with a 25-year lifespan, keeping villagers safe long into the future.
Syria
In Syria, our homes project has provided over 1,000 families with houses built to last in a series of villages and communities, where we’re also building schools and mosques. Each home consists of two rooms, a kitchen, bathroom, and living space, as well as a water tank, heater, and connection to water, sewage, and electricity networks.
Multiply your Zakat by 70 times
These housing projects are a profound way to give your Zakat, transforming the life of a family that has survived against the odds. Give them a warm, comforting place to call home so they can begin to heal from the trauma and loss they’ve endured.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said,“…whoever discharges an obligatory deed in (this month) shall receive the reward of performing seventy obligations at any other time." (Ibn Khuzaymah)
