Al Imaan: healthcare for Syrian mothers and babies

“Whoever removes a grief from a believer from amongst the sorrows of this life, Allah will remove a grief from him amongst the sorrows of the Day of Resurrection.” (Sahih Muslim)

12 million Syrians need health assistance, but hospitals are being bombed and shut down. In the last month, another hospital has been targeted, pushing functioning clinics to the brink, and the cost of basic essentials has shot up by 70%. Donate and provide mothers, babies, and displaced people with life-saving healthcare at Al Imaan Hospital.

£150 - Al Imaan Hospital - save 6 mothers and babies.

£100 – Help isolated and vulnerable people to have critical healthcare through our mobile clinics.

Millions displaced and healthcare is urgently needed

Syrians have endured ten years of a long and brutal conflict. In that time, relentless attacks on hospitals has made our Al Imaan Hospital in Idlib more essential than ever, as hospitals continue to be targeted, despite a ceasefire. Al Imaan is a lifeline for an entire community.

Across Syria, a staggering 11.7 million people need humanitarian support, and around 6.2 million people are displaced. Hospitals are being targeted and shut down – including Human Appeal’s own Al Imaan Hospital in Aleppo – with almost half of all health facilities in Syria either partly operational, or completely out of service.

Since the spring, the cost of items needed simply to survive has increased by almost 70%. It’s the most vulnerable – children, displaced families, pregnant women, older people who struggle to get the urgent medicine and healthcare that they need.

Donate and help us to provide essential healthcare to the most vulnerable people in Syria, and multiply your reward.

Al Imaan Hospital needs your help to stay open.

Tens of thousands depend on Human Appeal’s Al Imaan Hospital, but without your support, we cannot stay open. On average, our hospital treats 4,000 people per month, and our mobile clinic treats an average of 2,000 per month.

With your charity, we’ll be able to keep Al Imaan and our mobile clinic open, providing critical maternal healthcare to pregnant women and babies. Al Imaan also offers treatment for malnutrition, protection services, winter support, and emergency surgery, and has its own ambulance for emergencies.

Our work in Syria

You’ve helped us to support over 9 million people in Syria since our work began in 2013. Last year, you helped us to support 101,224 people through our healthcare, food security, and emergency projects. Between July and October of last year, we treated more than 30,000 people at our health facilities in Syria.

But your support is still urgently needed. Displaced and sick Syrians, mothers and their newborn babies immediately need your help to continue to access urgent healthcare.

Change lives in this month of mercy by helping us to keep Al Imaan Hospital open.
