Every child deserves a quality education. It's the key to a brighter future — the chance to learn vital skills, grow in confidence, and break free from the cycle of poverty. Yet across the globe, a staggering 250 million children still lack basic literacy skills.
This Back-to-School season, we're helping children in Gaza, Yemen, Sudan and Pakistan walk into the classroom fully equipped and ready to thrive. Our Super Back-to-School Kits give children in Yemen, Sudan and Gaza a schoolbag fully stocked with pens, pencils, books, glue, sharpeners and a reusable water bottle — with uniforms too in Sudan and Yemen. In Pakistan, we're helping 500 orphans with kits, lunchboxes, uniforms and school shoes.
We know times are tough for so many families right now, with the cost of living stretching every budget further than ever. That's exactly why we built our Super Back-to-School Kits — to make giving as easy, and as impactful, as possible. Every kit bundles the essentials a child needs into one single, powerful donation, so your money works harder and reaches further.
It continues the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who taught us: "Whoever does not show mercy to our young ones, or acknowledge the rights of our elders, is not one of us." (Ahmad) Every kit you fund carries that mercy forward — and brings blessings to you, your family, and the wider ummah.

We moved to Bhimber, Azad Kashmir, and despite resistance from relatives, my mother bravely enrolled us in a reputable college. In 2011, Human Appeal visited our home and began sponsoring me — covering my education and standing by me through my most difficult moments.

941 orphaned children in Senegal were provided with school bags, with stationery, notebooks, pens, and other useful school materials; as well as colouring pencils to help bright their days.

It depends on the kit. The £20 Fully Kitted Out pack gives a child stationery and a backpack; the £40 Ultimate Pack adds a school uniform; and the £45 Super School Kit for Gaza gives a backpack, a reusable water bottle and a school meal. Every kit is built around what children in that specific country need most.
Your donation goes directly toward sourcing, packing and distributing school kits, uniforms and meals to children in Gaza, Yemen, Sudan and Pakistan. We work with local teams and trusted partners on the ground to make sure kits reach the children who need them, verified against strict eligibility criteria.
Many of our education projects are Zakat-applicable when they directly support eligible individuals, such as orphans and children from the poorest families. If Zakat eligibility matters to you, please check the specific fund at checkout or contact our team, as eligibility can vary by project and country.
We aim to get kits into children's hands in the days before term starts, so they're ready on the first day back. School meals funded through this appeal are then distributed once the school term begins.
