Feed the Fasting fund
When the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) addressed his companions on the last day before Ramadan, he said spoke of the enormous opportunity for reward and forgiveness:
" Whoever draws nearer (to Allah) by performing any of the (optional) good deeds in (this month) shall receive the same reward as performing an obligatory deed at any other time,” (Narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah)
The opportunity for reward and forgiveness in this blessed month is unique, and your one donation can make all the difference – both to a person struggling to feed their family – and to you!*
By feeding just one person, just one family, or just one community, your blessings will be multiplied this Ramadan
With our Feed the Fasting open fund, one donation can provide iftar to a hungry person, family or community for a month. From as little as £7 you can multiply your rewards this holy month.
The Prophet (PBUH) continued: “Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all." (Ibn Khuzaymah)
You can donate any amount you wish to our Feed the Fasting open fund, since we make sure that your donation provides nutritious food to those who need it most, in any of the eight countries where we are providing iftar this year – Bangladesh, Lebanon, Iraq, Pakistan, Palestine, Somalia, Syria and Yemen.
Here’s what your donations could provide:
£7 will provide a hot nutritious iftar to a fasting person at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, consisting of chicken, bread, water, yoghurt, juice, biscuits and dates.
£10 will pay for a hot meal of chicken and rice for a family of six in Gaza.
£70 will provide a family of six with a parcel with enough nutritious food for the whole month of Ramadan, weighing, on average, 50 kilograms. Each pack contains several kilograms of staples such as sugar, rice, and flour, as well as local preferences, such as chickpeas, lentils, tea, milk powder or pasta.
£560 will provide nutritious food parcels to eight families across all eight countries that Human Appeal are working in this Ramadan. It will last them the entire month, and each parcel is adapted to local preferences, weight an average of 50 kilograms.
£5000 will make sure that 500 vulnerable people can break their fast and have iftar this Ramadan.
Last year you helped us to provide iftar to over 98,000 people in 13 countries. One donation can help a family battling hunger, and can help you to compensate for your misdeeds. Feed the fasting and multiply your rewards this Ramadan.
