Dialysis for Syrian patients

100% Zakat applicable

The Messenger (PBUH) said: "Whoever draws nearer (to Allah) by performing any of the (optional) good deeds in (this month) shall receive the same reward as performing an obligatory deed at any other time,” (Ibn Khuzaymah)

£250 – Provide a Syrian with kidney failure with ten dialysis sessions across one month.

£2,500 – Provide a Syrian with kidney failure with three months’ of kidney treatment – a total of 30 dialysis sessions.

3.1 million Syrians in northwest Syria need medical help, out of a total of 4.4 million people – that’s almost one in every three people in need of healthcare, as hospitals continue to be shut down – some destroyed in the war, and others forced to close due to a lack of funding.

Syrians with kidney failure are being forgotten, with two-thirds not even on any hypertensive medication. Be a mercy, and provide a Syrian with kidney failure with dialysis treatment.

Slowly sickened by your own blood

When you have kidney failure, your body isn’t able to clean your blood, which makes a person increasingly sick. Dialysis helps patients to clean their blood with a machine, but for vulnerable Syrians struggling to afford food, the cost is simply too high.

With your help, we want to provide 312 patients with 10 dialysis sessions per month for three months, helping them to stay healthy. That’s a total of 9,360 dialysis sessions.

We’ll be working in six dialysis centres – three in Aleppo and three in Idlib.

Our work in Syria

Human Appeal has been changing lives through our projects in Syria since 2013. Last year, we helped 349,896 people in Syria, including providing over 219,000 people with healthcare. In 2020, we supported 206,684 people through healthcare, nutrition, winter support, vaccinations, and projects fighting COVID-19.

Your charity could truly save lives in Syria by providing critical healthcare to the most vulnerable people who urgently need help cleaning their blood as they experience kidney failure. Be a mercy to the most vulnerable, and reap Allah’s blessing.

Human Appeal is committed to providing aid in the country or programme that you select. In the event we complete the programme, exceed the required funds, or are denied access to a particular country for reasons beyond our control, Human Appeal reserves the right to reallocate your donation to another programme where it is needed most.
