Critical shortages
This project will support medical facilities and doctors in countries facing medical crises and shortages. Your donation will help hospitals and clinics in Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen to be more resilient and able to handle the extreme demand on them.
In Syria, over 172 health centres are damaged or destroyed, causing shortages of equipment and supplies.
At least 77 Sudanese hospitals have been attacked since the start of the war. In Somalia, 1 in 8 children die before they turn five, the vast majority from entirely treatable causes. 46 per cent of Yemen’s health facilities are either completely closed or only partially open, with crippling shortages of medicine and medical equipment.

This is an in-kind project; you’re helping us to deliver shipping containers of medical equipment in cooperation with partners.
The containers will include supportive gear – such as back braces, PPE for doctors – such as gloves and gowns, tools for diagnosis, such as stethoscopes, as well as ventilation tools, surgical tools, and other general medical items.
