Education for Nigeria’s orphans

£50 /month – provide a child in Lagos with an education in a quality school.

£600 – provide a child in Lagos with an education for the entire year.

Help us return 50 orphaned children to school, covering the cost of their tuition, which provides them with the skills for a brighter future.

The most vulnerable children

There are approximately 17.5 million orphaned and vulnerable children in Nigeria, and 16 million children who are out of school. Orphans are one of the most vulnerable groups in any society, often at increased risk of abandonment, poor health, abuse, child labour, and child marriage. In Nigeria, it is estimated that 95% of all orphaned and vulnerable children do not have any access to medical care or education.

Be a mercy to a child. Provide an orphan with education, and transform their future. Education gives a child the ability to thrive and dream, and the tools and skills for an independent future. It can help break cycles of poverty and uplift entire communities.

When a child becomes an orphan by losing one or both parents, their education is often one of the first things to suffer. Without a breadwinner or family income, the child’s family simply cannot afford to send them to school.

What your donation provides

With your help, we want to help 50 orphaned children to learn in bright and beautiful child-friendly classrooms, with a qualified teacher and class sizes no larger than 25. We will ensure that children are always safe, with adequate safeguarding measures in place at all times.

By sponsoring an orphan’s education, you’ll be covering the cost of school fees, uniform, shoes, stationary, text books and food, making sure they can stay in school and learn the skills for a brighter future.
