After a decade of conflict in Syria, over 6 million people are still displaced in their own country, having fled brutal bomb and mortar attacks.. Many are living in tents that don’t protect them from the bitter winters and brutal summer heat. Many displaced children spend their days gathering twigs to burn, and struggle to access clean water.
Syrian Homes helps build brick and steel homes with windows, doors, a living space, two rooms, a kitchen and bathroom.£2,000 gets a displaced family with brick and steel home consisting of two bedrooms, a living room, bathroom, and kitchen, which will last at least 10 years. Each home will have two bedrooms, a living space, kitchen and bathroom, as well as a water tank and septic tank. They will also be connected to the sewage network.
