We’re calling on 35 intrepid trekkers to lace up their boots, button up their waterproofs and take to the hills. This hiking challenge will test you to your physical limits. Raising funds for our orphan sponsorship appeal, each hiker will be put through their paces on the beautifully rugged terrain of Wales’ most famous national park.

Who we’re looking for
Doers. Dreamers. Diehards. People who look at a challenge and aren’t intimidated, but inspired. This is the chance of a lifetime, an opportunity to push yourself beyond your limits, all for a good cause. Some hiking experience is of course beneficial, but even if you’re a newbie (provided you put in the training) this is easily doable.
This exciting challenge will see you trek to the summit of the highest peak in England and Wales! You will be walking along the famed Llanberis trail and ascending to a height of over 3,500 feet and a total distance of around 10 miles. The day will involve between five to seven hours of walking, plenty of time to take in the fresh air and gorgeous views.

Human Appeal has been helping supporters to sponsor orphans for 30 years. Currently, our supporters are sponsoring over 19,000 orphans across nine countries. We’ve witnessed how one sponsorship can change a whole future, and we’ve learnt to develop a programme that puts the child’s needs first. All our work is overseen by our child protection specialists, who ensure that children are never put at further risk.
In order to qualify for child sponsorship, an orphaned child must remain in school, which safeguards their right to an education and a future, and helps to give them the tools to support themselves once they become young adults in the world. Sponsoring an orphan is one of the most blessed and rewarding acts you can do. And it’s some of our most impactful and precious work, which we carry out with great care.Register your interest
