Clean water for Gaza’s schools and parks
100% Zakat applicable
“The best charity is giving water to drink.” (Ahmad)
£xx – Provide one child with access to clean water at their school via our desalination plant.
After the bombing last Ramadan in Gaza, 290 water points and facilities were damaged or destroyed, leaving 1.3 million people without clean water and safe sanitation. 331 schools were damaged.
Help us to provide Gaza’s schoolchildren with clean water in their schools in this holy month. Spread mercy in this month of mercy.
Children facing bombing, power cuts, and unclean water
97% of water in Gaza is unsafe to drink and highly contaminated. Schoolchildren already have to endure unpredictable attacks, violence, food shortages, overcrowding and power cuts. Without clean water, they also put their health at risk.
With your help we want to install a desalination plant that will channel X litres of clean water each day into four parks and seven schools, helping a total of 6,600 people to have reliable, long-term access to clean water.
An ongoing gift of Sadaqah Jariyah
Donating to this project is a beautiful act of Sadaqah Jariyah - it’ll continue to provide clean water the to the community for years to come, and provide blessings to you, even after you are gone.
“When a person dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him.” (Sahih Muslim)
Our work in Palestine
We’ve been changing lives in Palestine for 30 years. Our recent work includes disinfecting the entire water network of Gaza, building a desalination plant for 15,000 people at Al Aqsa University, and helping to fight the critical medical crisis by providing tens of thousands of medical supplies. Last year, we helped 2,047,971 people in Palestine through food security, medical, water and sanitation projects.
Be a mercy to children who have endured a lifetime of war and blockade by supporting their futures and education through clean water. Donate, and reap the blessings of mercy to children in the holy month of Ramadan.
