Our Emergency Fund Needs Your Urgent Support

Help us save lives through our Emergency Fund.
What is the Emergency Fund?
When disaster strikes, immediate assistance is crucial for families affected by war or earthquakes. They need shelter, food, clean water, and medical care right away. They cannot wait for lengthy fundraising campaigns; they need immediate help. Our Emergency Fund saves lives by enabling us to respond swiftly to crises, providing food, water, shelter, and medicine to those in need within 72 hours, or even earlier. It has allowed us to respond promptly to the war in Ukraine, the Gaza crisis, earthquakes in Syria and Turkey, and many other disasters without delays in funding.
£100 – Be a lifeline to a family in crisis. Provide vulnerable families with food, clean water, and medical aid. Your donation can transform the lives of those who have lost their homes and livelihoods.
£70 – Sustain a family of five with a wholesome and nutritious food parcel for an entire month.
£35/month – Help us be prepared to rapidly respond to disasters, supporting families in their survival.
How our Emergency Fund has saved lives
Unfortunately, many communities are already grappling with major crises when another disaster strikes. In Somalia, after three consecutive seasons of no rain, hunger levels have reached their worst in 30 years, with 350,000 children at risk of starvation.
How our Emergency Fund helps
When a disaster occurs, our senior teams and local offices immediately convene. Our experts and specialists are deployed to assess the needs in coordination with local teams. Within 72 hours, we release emergency funds to address the most critical needs.
Our Impact in Gaza
Last May, during 15 days of bombings, 278 people lost their lives, and over 9,000 were injured. More than 77,000 individuals were forced to flee their homes, while approximately 30 clinics and hospitals were damaged. Gaza's sole COVID-19 test centre was also destroyed.
We provided food vouchers to 18,000 families, employed people to clear rubble from the streets, creating jobs and aiding community recovery. Additionally, we supplied medical resources and 25,000 litres of fuel to hospitals and clinics, benefiting 15,443 people.
Once immediate needs were addressed, we transitioned to long-term rebuilding and resilience projects, such as constructing a water desalination plant and repairing homes.
