"Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest."
This Ramadan, when the dusk adhan rings out, most of us find relief from our fast in a plentiful iftar. But for many this hunger doesn’t end. One in nine people will go to bed on an empty stomach this Ramadan. To a family struggling to find food for iftar, one person, one donation, can be a lifeline.
That’s over 800 million people without enough food to eat.
One person can feed many
One person – you – can be the difference between a family facing another day of fasting without a proper iftar, or that family having plentiful meals throughout the holy month, fully able to observe the blessings of Ramadan.
£150 Double your rewards. Feed a Palestinian family of between five - seven people for a month with fresh food and secure a future for farmers in Palestine.
£70 will provide a family of between five - seven people with a food parcel with enough nutritious food – such as rice, chickpeas and flour – for the whole month of Ramadan.
£10 will feed one person for the whole month of Ramadan.

£7 will provide a hot iftar to a fasting person at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
Your support has been helping Human Appeal to feed the fasting for over 20 years. Last year, you provided nutritious food parcels to 63,000 people in 13 countries, providing them with iftar for the entire month.
You also provided 27,000 hot meals around the world, from Pakistan to Palestine, from Somalia to Syria, and even here in the UK.
Going hungry in Ramadan
One in every nine people will go to bed hungry this Ramadan. That’s over 800 million people who don’t have enough food to eat.
It can seem like an overwhelming number, but one donation can completely change the prospect of Ramadan for another person or family. Just £10 will allow us to feed a person for the entire month.
Together, one by one, we can make sure vulnerable people have enough food this Ramadan, while multiplying the blessings of providing iftar to a fasting person.
Last year, Human Appeal spoke to 70-year-old Hawa at a camp for displaced people in Somalia. The grandmother had been forced to flee her home after her son, a father-of-seven, and her two brothers were killed in a dispute with a rival clan. The family lost all their cattle in the conflict, and with them, their livelihood.
With her grandchildren in tow, Hawa journeyed through harsh terrain, bypassing dangerous areas held by al-Shabab, eventually reaching Baidoa some 80 miles away.
The journey was terrifying, but Hawa knew she must leave and get her grandchildren to safety. But their lives had been upended, and Ramadan promised to be difficult.
Through your generous donations, we were able to provide Hawa with a nutritious food parcel that would support her and her grandchildren throughout Ramadan, allowing her to fulfil her spiritual obligation with peace of mind.
Your support allows people who have survived incredible hardship to fast without worrying about securing their next meal.
One donation was all it took to lighten Hawa’s load last Ramadan, providing her family with food for the entire month. Increase your blessings by helping us to provide iftar to more vulnerable people this month.
Human Appeal assists vulnerable people in 22 countries worldwide, both during emergencies when clean water, shelter and food is essential, and throughout the year, helping them to develop sustainable livelihoods, secure access to clean water and improve educational opportunities.
One person can make all the difference. One donation can stop a family from going hungry this Ramadan.
