Bangladesh Emergency Flood Appeal

''Those who spend their wealth [in Allah 's way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly - they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.'' (Quran 2:274)

Bangladesh experiences cyclical drought and flooding, and 51 million people don’t have reliable access to enough food. Our local team respond to climate crises across the country, support Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar and help to improve resilience to disasters and hunger through projects that boost access to clean water, child welfare and healthcare.

£240 – Provide a child living on the streets of Dhaka with nutritious food, healthcare, education, and a safe place to go for a year, helping them to get off the streets.

£60 - Provide a person in Bangladesh with cataract surgery to prevent and reverse blindness.

£1,100 – build a deep water well in a vulnerable and community in Bangladesh, benefiting 105 people.

£100 - Provide clean water, sanitation and improved hygiene to 10 Rohingya refugees, protecting them from disease, infection, and floods.

£100 - Provide a nutritious food parcel to a Rohingya family in Cox’s Bazar.

Nearly a third of people in Bangladesh don’t have enough food this Ramadan; most of them are women and children. Almost 1 million Rohingya refugees live in Cox’s Bazar in the world’s largest refugee camp where conditions are cramped and overcrowded. After violent persecution in Myanmar in 2017, hundreds of thousands of Rohingya people fled to Bangladesh.

Donate to our projects in Bangladesh this Ramadan and multiply your blessings.

We’re working to provide latrines and a water system in Jamtoli refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, and we’re providing nutritious food parcels to help families to eat well.

In Dhaka, our drop-in centre for street children provides a safe space, food, healthcare, education, vocational classes and outreach services to help vulnerable children to build a better future.

We’re also providing cataract surgery to vulnerable people, helping them to regain their independence and their ability to work or care for their families.

This Ramadan, we’re also providing nutritious food parcels to last an entire month, and working to provide deep water wells in drought-hit areas of Bangladesh, allowing communities of around 105 people to have enough water to drink, cook, clean, raise animals, and grow crops to eat.
