Fresh Qurbani in Palestine

Spiralling arrests, violence, and restrictions on movement and work permits is putting huge strain on Palestinians ability to feed their families. This Dhul Hijjah, be a mercy to a people being oppressed in every arena of their lives. Help us to provide fresh nutritious meat this Eid al-Adha, and spread joy, comfort and good nutrition this Eid.

£480 – provide fresh nutritious meat to families struggling for food in Jenin and the West Bank.

Last year, one Qurbani share provided an average of 55 nutritious meat-based meals.

Despite extreme challenges, our local team in the West Bank has been working hard to enable our supporters to give their Qurbani in Palestine. Give your Qurbani to families struggling for food in Jenin refugee camp and help them to eat well this Eid al-Adha.

More than 500 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since October. Military incursions into the West Bank have soared, with frequent night-time home invasions and detentions. In just the last week, around 860 olive, fig, and vine trees have been vandalised across the West Bank, as settler violence has soared, causing massive damage to Palestinians’ safety, lives, and livelihoods.

In late May, a major incursion into Jenin camp killed 12 people including 2 children, during which the military took over and damaged a UNRWA health centre.

In Jenin, several schools have been forced to close due to destroyed and closed roads, and families try to spend their nights outside of the camp to avoid the frequent violent incursions.

When the Messenger (ﷺ) was asked what Qurbani is, he answered, “It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim. For every hair of the Qurbani you receive a reward from Allah.” (Al-Tirmidhi)

Reap the blessings of this act of worship by supporting families facing oppression, marginalisation and the destruction of their livelihoods.

Why give to Human Appeal?

We ensure that the people you support receive fresh, value-for-money, quality meat is used – all sacrificed according to the Prophet’s tradition. With 32 years of experience, our local teams have decades of expertise and community knowledge, working with local farmers to support businesses in each country we work in. All animals are inspected ahead of slaughter to ensure they’re healthy and well cared for. Your Qurbani is an Amanah to us, and we ensure your sacrifices are done on time between the first and fourth days of Eid al Adha, as is required for the Udhiya sacrifice.

Since we buy our Qurbani animals in advance to have them ready for slaughter on Eid day, we recommend donating early so that your donation is secured, and performed once Eid prayer is complete.

Last Qurbani, you helped us to reach over 600,000 people with fresh nutritious meat, including 37,512 in Palestine.

Be a mercy to families in Palestine this Dhul Hijjah and seek Allah’s blessings in the best 10 days of the year.

Every year our team in the field endeavours to ensure your Qurbani is delivered to the country of your choice. However, in case it is not possible in the country of your choice due to factors beyond our control, we will ensure it is delivered to those who need it most in the next nearest country possible.
