On the authority of Abu Hurairah (r.a) from the Prophet Muhammad (saw), who said "Allah (SWT) said: 'Spend (on charity), O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.' "
The blessed days of Rabi Al- Awwal are here! The 3rd month of the Islamic calendar, which hosted the Messenger’s (PBUH) birth, death, and hijra to Medina. Get close to the path of the Messenger by following his Sunnah and giving in charity in this special month.
£100 – Where most needed – Give, and help the Ummah that the Messenger loved and protected so much.
£60 – provide clean water – the best of charities to 4 people in Gaza for years to come by helping us to build a water desalination plant.
£35/ month – The Messenger (PBUH) encouraged us to seek closeness to him by caring for orphaned children. Give an orphan a brighter future for £35/month.
Muhammad’s birth was surrounded by miracles. When his mother, Amina, was carrying him she was conscious of the presence of light within her, which, when she was in labour, glowed so brightly that it illuminated the faraway palaces in Syria.
Honour his legacy by following the Sunnah throughout Rabi Al- Awwal.
As the final Prophet of Islam, Muhammad was chosen by Allah (swt) for his remarkable character. He was one of the kindest people long before the revelation of the Quran was given to him. During this month, we can use our time to reflect and learn from His excellent example to the Ummah.
"There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often." [AlAhzab:21].
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) showed mercy and goodwill to others throughout his lifetime, emphasizing the importance of helping and guiding others. These lessons are a guide for us all – particularly today, where 168 million people – that’s one in 45 people – need humanitarian assistance, that’s the highest that figure has risen in decades. As we seek to better ourselves as Muslims during this blessed month, we can follow His Sunnah by giving to others and helping those who are in desperate need.
The Messenger of Allah, said, 'One who strives to help a widow or the poor is like one who struggles in the cause of Allah' [Sahih Muslim]
The month of Rabi Al- Awwal is a perfect time to give your Zakat or Sadaqah, or to renew your intention to give regularly. Many are struggling to feed their families, and face a long and difficult winter ahead.
Your donation could save and transform lives. Don’t let the Messenger’s (PBUH) month pass without honouring his legacy.
