A devastating earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale has struck Nepal, only 50 miles from Kathmandu. 30 out of 75 districts in the country were affected. Nepal’s Ministry of Home Affairs have confirmed that 4.6 million people have been affected, with 1.6 million people left homeless and over 1,500 people losing their lives. The impact was such, that the tremors were felt in Pakistan, Bangladesh and India.
In response to the emergency, Human Appeal has prepared our team to deliver essential aid in the affected areas, and support the vulnerable lives in this critical time.
