Life is Now Hell: Human Appeal speaks to victim of Nepal Earthquake
Human Appeal are on the ground helping the survivors of the Nepal earthquake. Along with the 20-strong team assisting with the search and rescue operation, Human Appeal staff are also providing emergency relief.
Earlier today, Human Appeal met Bina. Cooking for her 5 family members, food has been scarce for the past few days. While this meal comes as a treat, it certainly isn’t a joyous occasion. Bina’s husband died on Saturday when the Nepal earthquake struck, sending a pile of heavy rocks tumbling down on him.
The family can’t return home as a plethora of demolished buildings block the way. “Life is now hell,” Bina says.
Human Appeal is returning some normality back to the lives of families like this. Its team is on the ground providing shelter, food, water and blankets.
