Human Appeal responds to Nepal earthquake
Following the devastating earthquake and aftershocks in Nepal over the weekend, Human Appeal’s disaster response teams from our UK and Pakistan offices are currently preparing to travel to the area to deliver emergency aid.
In addition, our strategic partner on the ground has deployed a 20-strong emergency response team, who are carrying out an assessment of needs on the ground right now.
Chief Executive of Human Appeal, Othman Moqbel, said:
“It is crucial that the international community mobilises quickly to help the people of Nepal during this devastating period. As the scale of the humanitarian disaster unfolds, we know that getting supplies of medical equipment, food and clean water to the areas affected will be critical. Human Appeal’s teams will deliver this essential aid and assess the emergency situation as it develops in Nepal.”
