Rohingya Refugees Winter Emergency
600,000 Rohingya refugees need support this winter
”Among the best of deeds is to feed the poor and the deserving.” Bukhari
Persecution. Ethnic cleansing. Mass displacement. After fleeing their homes and escaping through jungles and mountains, and taking dangerous sea voyages, 600,000 Rohingya refugees have spent the entire year crammed into five square miles of Cox’s Bazaar without adequate food, water, sanitation, or healthcare. And now winter is here.
£70 Winter Family Emergency Kit can provide a family in Cox’s Bazaar with nutritious food items, such as rice, soya bean and lentils, as well as warm winter blankets and a sanitation kit.
In winter, temperatures drop to 4 degrees. As one of Bangladesh’s wettest areas, lack of shelter and warm clothing, along with squalid living conditions, mean families are vulnerable to cold-related illnesses and COVID-19, as well as diarrhoea, which can be fatal for the elderly and children. We must protect them.
Help us save lives
Human Appeal is providing hundreds of emergency family winter kits to vulnerable families in Cox’s Bazaar, protecting them from the onslaught of winter, malnutrition, and dangerous diseases, such as COVID-19 and pneumonia, but we cannot save lives without your help.
Thank you for supporting Rohingya refugees.
