Syria Winter Emergency
Freezing temperatures in Syria
Each winter in Syria, temperatures plummet, battering camps with relentless rains, sub-zero temperatures and even snowstorms.
For the 6.6 million people still displaced from their homes in Syria, winter is unbearable. Many families are living in tents, that offer little protection from the harsh winter. Without a way to earn a living, they struggle even to buy warm clothes or food.
The conditions get unimaginably cold for a long periods of time; last year, 13 Syrian babies froze to death while living in these camps.
Help a Syrian family to stay warm, protected and dry this winter.
£165 will provide a displaced family with blankets, waterproof sheets, children’s clothes, raincoats and wellington boots.
Help those who have endured war, bombing, and unspeakable violence to survive the cold this winter.
Since 2015, our emergency winter response has helped nearly 200,000 people across 11 countries.
