Somalia Winter Emergency
Waterproofing shelters in Somalia
Devastating floods have inundated Somalia – which had not yet recovered from a summer of drought – forcing 370,000 people to flee their homes.
But it’s only the latest in cyclical instability, with over 1.5 million currently displaced.
These families are now living in tents or temporary shelters that won’t protect them from the rains this winter.
Help us to provide protection against the coming rains by waterproofing a family’s shelter, and providing them with blankets.
£100 provides a displaced family-of-six with six blankets and waterproof sheeting to reinforce their tent.
Help us to protect the most vulnerable families against winter storms and bitter weather.
Since 2015, our emergency winter response has helped nearly 200,000 people across 11 countries.
