The Rohingya crises continues in both Bangladesh and Myanmar. In Bangladesh, an estimated 688,000 Rohingya have crossed over into Bangladesh with the total now 900,000. The concentration in two upazilas; Ukhia and Teknaf with two formal refugee camps, four makeshift settlements and five new spontaneous sites, some merging together as settlement expands.
Currently there are over 1.2 million people in need. With the crises in its secondary stage the needs are mainly WASH, health and social protection. However with the monsoons looming ahead the possible threats are landslides which could lead to high levels of displacement, including water logging, destruction of make shift camps due to strong winds, overflowing of latrines, destruction of on-ground cooking facilities and outbreak of vector and water borne diseases.
