Syria Winter Emergency
Syrian refugee children are in danger this winter
Muhammad (PBUH), said: “Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).” (Muslim)
£140 Winter Family Emergency Kit will help protect a whole family from the cold and rain this winter. £140 will provide x2 warm blankets, x2 sleeping mats, shelter reinforcement and carpets, helping families repair and reinforce their damaged shelters, and replace ruined belongings this winter.
Help us save lives
This winter, help us to distribute winter kits to 600 Syrians families in Aleppo and Idlib. These kits will provide 3,000 people with blankets, sleeping mats, shelter waterproofing and carpets.
Please give this winter. Your charity will help the most vulnerable people to survive the bitter weather, including pregnant and nursing mothers, those with chronic diseases, orphaned children, and disabled and older people.
Syrians are struggling to cope this winter
Ongoing conflict. The destruction of lives and livelihoods. Decimated homes, hospitals, and schools. Widespread poverty. Over nine years of conflict has broken Syria. 11 million people need humanitarian assistance and now winter is here.
Winter in Syria brings strong winds, heavy rains, flooding, and extreme changes of temperature. Temperatures can drop to below freezing at night, which can be fatal for vulnerable people who lack proper shelter, clothing, food, or medical care.
Displaced families inside Syria are in crisis due to the bitter winter weather and recent devastating floods that have destroyed their tents. They desperately need our support.
To make matters worse, recent bitterly cold temperatures and floods in northwest Syria have worsened the plight of tens of thousands of families.
Over the past few weeks, deadly rain and flooding has killed one child and destroyed hundreds of tents, leaving thousands homeless. What few belongings they had are ruined beyond repair, leaving families without any way to keep warm and dry.
