Leave a legacy, rebuild a mosque
“Whoever built a mosque, with the intention of seeking Allah’s pleasure, Allah will build for him a similar place in paradise.” (Al-Bukhari)
£35 - Help rehabilitate a mosque.
This Eid al-Adha, help us to rehabilitate 50 mosques in marginalised areas of Pakistan, installing solar-powered lights, electricity, clean water, and toilets. This will help to make mosques accessible and safe for the community once more, allowing residents to use it for prayer, community gatherings, remembrance and meetings – even at night.
Don’t let our beautiful mosques fall to ruin
We’ll be working in marginalised and rural areas of Pakistan, focusing on areas that lack access to water, toilets and electricity. When people have nowhere to hygienically go to the toilet, to wash themselves, and to make wudu, it puts them at risk of contracting and spreading diseases and infections, especially during the time of COVID-19. In the summer, many people in the communities we’re focusing on have to walk long distances in the blistering heat just to collect water and make wudhu.
By connecting the mosques to the water network, residents will be able to access clean water for many years to come. And by installing solar panels, we’ll help isolated villages to have long-term access to lighting and electricity, helping mosques to become safe and useable at night.
A mosque will be your legacy on this earth
In all, this project will benefit 20,000 people across 50 mosques, as well as supporting more people in their wider communities.
Your support this Dhul HIjjah will help us to build much-needed facilities at the mosques, and transform the mosques into safe, clean spaces where residents can gather, learn and hold community meetings.
We’ll be installing toilets and plumbing, and encouraging residents to install latrines at home, transforming hygiene and best practices for entire communities.
It’s important that all members of the community can benefit, so we’ll be building prayer areas for women too, so that they can worship, meet, and have access to the improved resources too.
Give a blessed, transformative gift this Eid, help a Muslim to have a safe, clean place to worship, while transforming the hygiene facilities for the whole community. You can provide this donation on behalf of a loved one, so that they can reap the blessings of this beautiful gift for years to come.
“There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” (Bukhari)
Continue the legacy of the prophets during these blessed first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, and leave behind a charity that will keep on giving – to you, and to those you help.
