Plant an Olive Tree in Palestine
By the fig and the olive and [by] Mount Sinai, And [by] this city of security [Makkah]. Verily, We have certainly created man in the best of stature. (Quran 95:1-4)
Give £20, and provide a Palestinian family with two young olive trees, ensuring they reap the fruit of the olive for years to come.
Olives are mentioned seven times in the Quran, and the Prophet (PBUH) instructed us to use olive oil on our hair and skin. This Ramadan, plant a blessed fruit in the holy land of Palestine.
Since the trees you donate will provide olives for years to come, this project is a Sadaqah Jariyah, providing endless blessings, even after you are gone.
Olive trees – the gift of endless rewards
This Eid al-Adha, give your loved one the beautiful gift of endless blessings by donating this charity in their name – they’ll even receive a gift certificate as a memorable gesture for your thoughtful gift.
Why give olive trees through Human Appeal?
We’ve been working in Palestine for over 20 years. Since beginning our olive tree project in 2006, we’ve helped vulnerable Palestinian farmers to plant 50,000 trees, allowing them to restore uprooted and damaged land, and to sustain their livelihoods in the face of persecution.
Our skilled local staff have long-established networks and suppliers, and are supported by decades of experience. This means that we’re able to buy the healthiest and most robust trees at the most affordable price, making sure that your donations have the maximum impact.
In 2020, we’re working to provide 545 farmers with 40 olive trees each, allowing them to restore one dunum (roughly 1 km²) of land, which can produce up to four tonnes of olives. Through this project, which benefits 5,190 people, we’ll be planting 24,376 olives, providing over 5,000 hours of work to local labourers, and training 90 women in the production of olive-based items such as soap.
For just £20, you can plant blessed olive trees in Palestine this Eid. Continue the legacy of the prophets, help to sustain a vulnerable family’s livelihood, and reap endless blessings through this beautiful, long-lasting charity.
