Education for Syrian Children in Turkey
The first revelation of the Qur’an to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) required him to “Read in the name of the Lord… who taught man through the use of pen what he did not know.” (Al-Alaq, 96:1,4,5).
There are 3.6 million Syrian refugees in Turkey. Before the war, 99% of Syrians had primary education. Today, Syria’s education record has been shattered, with over 2 million Syrian children are out of school.
Support our education project in Turkey, and help Syrian children to continue their schooling, despite the violence, trauma and displacement they have witnessed.
Education for All
This project aims to recover and enhance the education of 20,000 Syrian children in 34 public schools in Osmaniye and Kahramanmaraş. Your donations will provide each of the 34 schools with a computer lab, psychosocial support and training for counsellors.
We’ll train 30 staff from the Turkish Ministry of Education, provide materials for extra-curricular clubs, and we will also establish two full-equipped mobile libraries to support child and adult learning.
Today, a Syrian child under the age of eight will have experienced a life of war, displacement and violence. Donate today, and transform the lives of the most vulnerable among us, who have experienced unimaginable hardship at such a young age.
