Emergency medical aid in Gaza

In recent months the medical infrastructure in Gaza has been pushed to the brink as thousands of Palestinians have been injured and killed in the Great Return March, and in airstrikes on the coastal enclave.

According to the UN, the Gaza Strip could become unlivable by 2020. Due to the blockade, undrinkable water, and spiralling unemployment, vulnerable Palestinians face a daily struggle to survive, which has been compounded by recent airstrikes and violence at the border, pushing hospitals and clinics to breaking point.

This Ramadan, you can help us provide critical medicine and disposable tools to 14 hospitals and 54 primary healthcare centres across the Gaza Strip, helping clinics that are struggling to cope to save lives.

To save a life is to save all of humanity.

Help us to save lives in Gaza this Ramadan

Donate to our emergency medical appeal in Gaza and allow local hospitals to save the lives of people injured in the violence, and help us to limit the disruption and deterioration of essential medical services in Gaza. With your help, we aim to provide 45,000 people with access to the facilities that your donations will support.

“The believers are like one body in their mutual love and affection: if one limb is injured, the rest responds with sleeplessness and fever.”

Your donations will provide essential medicine for surgery and pain relief, as well as medical equipment for resuscitation, and disposables, such as gloves, dressings and surgical blades.

£100 provides vital emergency medical aid, including hospital beds, surgical equipment and medicine to save lives.

£80 provides first aid kits to families in high-risk areas, with over fifteen items for treating burns, fractures, injuries and bleeding. Each family will also receive training on the use of these essential kits.

£65 provides one patient with full medical care from a team of multiple specialists. This treatment includes medication, wound dressing, physiotherapy and psychological support.

Human Appeal’s work in Gaza and the West Bank

Last year, your donations helped a total of 300,000 people in Gaza. Around 20,000 people now have access to our optic centre, which provides check-ups for students and orphans. As part of its Gaza emergency response, Human Appeal provided essential anaesthetic drugs to benefit at least 10,000 patients.

One donation will change lives.
