Provide life-saving medical care in Syria

The war in Syria decimated the medical system. Between 2011 and 2017, there were 492 attacks on healthcare in Syria and the WHO reported that 70% of attacks on healthcare facilities, services and personnel took place in Syria.

Although the violence in Syria has receded, and although people are beginning to return to their homes, infrastructure and facilities are still critically damaged. There are severe shortages of staff and medical supplies, putting already vulnerable people at even greater risk. Last year, there were outbreaks of measles, acute bloody diarrhea and typhoid.

Across Syria, an estimated 11.7 people are still in need of humanitarian support and 6.2 million are displaced within Syria.

“Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter.” (Muslim)

Be the one to help

From just £10 you can help us to support medical facilities in western rural Aleppo. Since 2015 we have been assisting vulnerable people – particularly displaced families - at Al Imaan Hospital, and local primary healthcare centre and a mobile clinic.

Help us to continue to provide life-saving medical care to 38,000 displaced and at risk Syrians for the next eight months. The care that Al Imaan Hospital provides includes malnourishment, diseases, vaccinations, emergency obstetrics, paediatrics and gynaecology. It also provides critical support through the bitter winter months for people with pneumonia, respiratory infections and diarrhoea.

Your support also allows us to continue to employ 200 staff who work at the hospital and clinics.

£10 provides life-saving aid to one person

£100 provides life-saving aid to ten people

£300 provides life-saving aid to thirty people.

Last year, with your support we were able to provide 16,500 medical procedures through Al Imaan Hospital. We delivered the latest training to eight midwives, nurses and technicians. Our medical staff carried out 19,523 consultations on children, and 15,042 consultations on pregnant women and mothers.

In total, your donations made staggering impact last year, helping 43,456 people through our healthcare support in western Aleppo.

Donations to this project provide life-saving treatment to the most vulnerable people. Relieve a hardship for a believer this Ramadan, and reap the wondrous blessings of this holy month.

One donation will save lives.
