Progress update: What we've achieved
It's been another eventful year at Human Appeal. We want to say a big thank you to our donors. We couldn't do a thing without you.
We've delivered over 10.3 million kilos of flour across Syria, feeding over 10 million people; a CT scanner and ICU, treating 600 people monthly; a safe village for 700 Syrians, including orphans, widows, the elderly and the disabled; three primary schools; sponsorship for 1,000 orphans and 50,000 emergency food, medical and hygiene packs.
We've installed a much-needed water purification plant, providing 200,000 children with safe, clean water; we've extended a community farm, planting thousands of olive trees and fruit trees; we've started building an orphanage in Jerusalem, and we've continued delivering food and aid to those who need it most.
We've helped millions of Syrians by providing essential aid - from emergency food parcels, flour, medical equipment and hygiene packs to a safe family village. We've also been working on the ground in Burma, helping refugees, as well as victims of natural disasters in the Philippines and Somalia.
We've been busy helping our poorest nations and providing hundreds of people with the tools they need to make a living. From vocational training centres, rickshaws and sewing machines to milking cows, honey bees and fruit trees, we're doing all we can to help others create their own pathways out of poverty.
We sponsor thousands of orphans globally. These vulnerable children are from countries like Syria, Palestine, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other nations suffering from war, natural disaster and political upheaval, so it’s vital we keep on supporting them.
