Massive floods have swept across Bangladesh, affecting more than 5.2 million people, and killing 20. After relentless rains, rivers overflowed, with devastating floods forcing 400,000 people to flee across the 11 affected districts.

Floods bring with them extremely high risks, often triggering outbreaks and disease, the contamination of drinking water, as well as the risks of landslides and further disasters.

We want to help around 12,000 people through food distributions to sustain people in the immediate future, hygiene kits which will help combat the spread of disease, fodder for livestock, and seeds to farmers whose agricultural land has been damaged. We’ll also work to rehabilitate latrines and tubewells, restoring hygiene infrastructure in the affected areas. With your help, we’ll also help families to repair their homes ones the floods recede.
